Please click here to read the new policy changes for the TestFlight SDK.
TestFlight allows for crash reports to be symbolicated when an associated .dSYM file is uploaded to TestFlight.

.dSYM files must be compressed to a ZIP file before they are uploaded to the build's crashes page. Existing crash reports will be symbolicated shortly after the .dSYM file is uploaded. New crash reports will be symbolicated as they come in.

By default, .dSYM file are automatically generated when a new build is archived in Xcode. The following steps goes over locating the .dSYM file for a build:

  1. Open Xcode Organizer
  2. Locate the build assoicated with your crash reports and select "Show in Finder".
  3. Highlight the xarchive file and select "Show Package Contents".
  4. Select the .dSYM file and compress it.
  5. Upload the compressed .dSYM to the Crashes page on TestFlight.

If you're unable to locate the .dSYM files for your builds, please check if "Debug Information Format" under Build Settings is set to "DWARF with dSYM File".

You can also upload a .dSYM file by using the TestFlight desktop app.  To learn how to do this, please see the article here.
